GET OUT OF THE BOX

IN AWE OF GOD

In recent times God has been trivialized,packaged for entertainment, presented as a sort of psychological panacea, a heavenly glue to keep happy families together, a celestial slot machine to respond to whims and wants, a formula for success, a fund raiser for pseudo-religious enterprises, a slick phrase for bumper stickers, and a sort of holy pie and spiritual ice cream. How impoverished this all is, when compared to the experience recorded in Scriptures!(Job 42:1-6, Dan 10:11). I would go far to say that we will never be able to truly convey to others what God means to us or who He is to us, unless we have learnt to stand in awe before Him and tremble at his Glory. If you truly experience God, you will fear Him! One word that has been greatly misused is "awe", "awesome", anything nowadays is awesome, please Check the meaning of that word before you use it next time. We sing "awesome God, How Great Thou Art"? Yet we want to put him a box! Some people fear the devil now more than they fear God! Tie a red clothe on your orange and add a broom,nobody will touch it. Put an inscription JESUS is Lord on the orange?...your guess is as God as mine. Is it the case of fake pastors and fraud stars using the name of God for dubious acts? Or the case of people who say one thing in the light but go and do another thing in the dark? That is a discuss for another day.. My question is simple, and I don't want you to throw it to another person or say "please tell them",it is a question we all need to ask ourselves individually....DO YOU REALLY FEAR GOD?
